Adversity 👨‍🚀

If you follow my blog, you know I’m a reader. I think about words now more than I used to. Merriam Webster has a word of the day (wouldn’t have known that in my twenties 😆) and Wednesday’s word was something I know very well––adversity.

My life story is filled with it. But more importantly, it’s also filled with perseverance. The adversity I faced in my younger years gave me the grit and savvy I needed to get to where I am today.

Some may think adversity means bad luck, hardship, and suffering. My stories may carry some of that, but I don’t focus on them. I use adversity to fuel my successes––to try harder and work smarter. As Bob Marley said, "You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice."
