What’s the secret to leasing a space faster and for more money?
A bucket of paint. The benefits of a fresh coat of paint between tenants are many, yet sometimes we still have to have “that talk” with owners. Here’s a quick list of how a bucket of paint makes a difference for leasing or selling a commercial property:
Paint costs less than vacancies!
A fresh coat makes the space easier to market!
A clean updated look makes it easier for owners to get their asking price.
New and shiny stands out in a competitive market.
A clean and attractive space signals to prospective tenants that the property is well-cared for and property management is proactive.
A well-cared property attracts tenants that will also care for the space.
Fresh paint can reduce long term-maintenance costs.
It’s easier for prospective tenants or buyers to visualize possibilities when they don’t have to look past old faded or mismatched paint, stains, and flaws.
Bottom line, the money and effort of a bucket of paint increases value and gives the property a competitive edge. Is it time to get spraying, rolling, and brushing?
