It’s MN State Fair season and that means opportunities! I typically go there twice, once to support my network and the other to have a good time with family. This year, I had to merge the two, and it’s hard to shut my business and commercial real estate brain off.

The Fair is a great place to be seen, support those in your network, and make new contacts. I make a point to stop by booths and talk to people I know, like Megan, Justin, and Kristoph Anderson of Anderson Brothers Outdoors. It builds a genuine connection and keeps me top of mind for them and them for me.

Also, connecting to the short a couple of weeks ago, why wouldn’t you bring a stack of cards and talk to random people? Especially those waiting in the donut stand line that is four or five blocks long! 😲

I’m not talking a sales pitch––there’s enough of that out there already. But what if you made a genuine connection with the person in line? That positive interaction could lead to your next deal.

My advice … don’t underestimate any possible interaction or connection, because contacts equal contracts. 🎡 🎟️ 🎟️ 🎟️
